As you will discover
our web site is a very plain and simple
affair and not at all slick or trendy but
that suits our low tech style. Navigation
around the site is a llittle bit klick
klunk by today’s zippy standards but
once again we are happy with that.
Navigation is based on a combination of
traditional menus and hotlinks embedded
in the text.
The key menu for first
time visitors is the Main Menu as it signposts you in the
traditional way to the subordinate menus
that govern each of the main areas of
interest.
The News Desk is the key menu for regular
visitors as the News
Flashes there
tell you at a glance what’s new in
the current month. There are hotlinks embedded in the text of each
News Flash that enable you to jump straight
to all the underlying information about
that particular item. The hotlinks
themselves are usually in underlined bold
blue type and all you need to do is click
on them.
All our pages (except
the Entry Portal and the Main Menu) have a
very simple navigation
bar at the
foot of the page (see the foot of this page
for an example) showing you your options
for moving on or back. As a minimum you
will find links to The Main Menu and The
News Desk in every one of these navigation
bars.
If you get lost just
shout loudly and we’ll do our best to
rescue you!
