Our Creative Events are meant to be fun events designed
to give you the chance to win a first prize
of £50 GBP for yourself as well as a
£50 donation on your behalf to Children in Need. In addition there are
second and third prizes of £30 and
£20 also with matching charitable
donations. And finally we will donate
£1 to Children in Need for every
entry received up to a maximum of
£100.
All you have to do is create a piece of artwork (using any
media including photography) build a model,
paint a miniature figure or create a sculpt
and send us a picture or two. As a guide
pictures around 500 pixels x 500 pixels at
72 pixels per inch are fine for our
purposes. The artwork or miniature figure
or sculpt can be of any genre. You can
enter a new piece of work or an existing
favourite so long as it has not already
appeared in one of our events but you
cannot enter more than two pieces of work
in any one event.
Anyone but a member of
the Newbold Family can enter regardless of
their level of ability or age. Amateurs and professionals are equally welcome.
You can enter even if you undertake
commercial commissions for ourselves or for
other commercial companies. You can submit
work that has been sponsored by ourselves
or by others and you can enter your
sumissions in other competitions or put
them on sale or take them into production
while our event is still running.
The 1st Creative Event
of 2010 is now open for entries and you can
send them (or your queries) here. The
closing date for entries is 30 April 2010
and we’ll aim to announce the result
by the end of May. The sooner you send in
your entries the longer they will be on
public display in our Viewing Gallery here.
The winning entries are
chosen by 7 members of the Newbold Family
(but not Ian) who know nothing at all about
art! They are simply choosing the items
they like best so you need not be upset if
they do not choose yours! It is simply a
fun event for a good cause!
