About Newbold World

Newbold World is the online home of a fun collaboration between Cindy Dukino and the Newbold Family designed to share some of the things that we enjoy with anyone who might also be interested in them. In essence it is about our passion for all manner of creative endeavours such as artwork, games, humour, jewel craft, miniature figures & models, photography, poetry and stories and our desire to support two or three very worthwhile charitable causes. It is meant to be a place where you can relax for a few minutes away from the frantic pace of the real world that we live in and enjoy a little gentle browsing.

We have created our own fusion setting (an eccentric blend of historical, contemporary, fantasy & sci-fi cultures called Skoog) and we use the characters and institutions (such as our galleries and maglets) from that setting to help us showcase the creative efforts of a wide range of folk whose work we admire. Much of the material on display is of totally independent origins but a significant proportion of it has been created specifically for Newbold World to help bring our fusion setting to life.

As you will see we use our characters to present each of the main areas of interest on Newbold World and you can explore each of these areas in more depth by returning to the Main Menu and setting out from there. Once you know what’s here you can easily keep abreast of the things that interest you by regular visits to the News Desk.

We hope that Newbold World will appeal to as wide a range of ages and tastes as possible within our niche. We have mainstream items that we think will be of interest to any of you who share our interests in general. We also have a little material that we think is particularly suitable for parents looking for things to interest young children. And we have material for those of you who enjoy something slightly spicier (a darker edge to the humour and stories and tasteful nudity in the artwork etc) than our normal all round family fare.
