Newbold World is the online home of a
small family venture designed to share some
of the things that we enjoy doing with
anyone who might be interested. In essence
it is all about our passion for artwork,
games, humour, miniature figures and
stories and our desire to support two or
three very worthwhile charitable causes. It
is meant to be a place where you can relax
for a few minutes away from the frantic
pace of the real world that we live in and
enjoy a little gentle browsing.
We enjoy artwork,
games, humour, miniature figures and
stories based on the real world (history,
contemporary and future) and on worlds
created by a
wide range of
fantasy and sci-fi artists, authors and
miniature figure sculptors. In addition
we’ve always wanted to create our own
Fusion Game Setting integrating characters
and situations plucked from real life,
fantasy and sci-fi and now we are doing
just that right here in cyber space and
it’s called Skoog.
We are using the
Newbold World web site to display material from the real world,
from fantasy and sci-fi worlds created by
others and from our own world of Skoog. And
as you will see we are using our very own
characters to present each of the main
areas of interest on Newbold World. You can
explore the main areas of interest in more
depth by returning to the Main Menu and
setting out from there. Once you know
what’s here you can keep abreast of
the things that interest you by regular
visits to the News Desk.
We are hoping that
Newbold World will
appeal to as wide a range of ages and
tastes as
possible within our niche. We have material
that we think is suitable for parents
looking for things to interest young
children. We have mainstream items that we
think will be of interest to any of you who
share our interests in general. And we have
a little material for those of you with
slightly more worldly wise tastes. We keep
the more worldly wise items in their own
specific area separate from the main items
so that you can avoid them easily if
that’s what you prefer to do.
