The Competition
Entrants
Everyone who entered
caused us to donate £1 to the
Challenge. They all did their bit for our
good causes and we salute them. Their
entries and their names were displayed in
our viewing galleries for a couple of
months before we needed to reclaim the
space to make room for the 2007 Challenge.
They will be represented on our web site
for the rest of this year by the top
scoring entries which you can see in our Winning
Entries Honour Gallery.
Auction Donations
A whole bunch of folk
agreed that their entries in the Challenge
could be auctioned off on ebay after the
competitions closed. Several other people
simply donated figures to be auctioned off
without entering the competitions. In both
cases the entire auction proceeds were
passed on to our good causes. You’ll
find pictures of the absolutely super
paintjobs that went into these auctions and
the names of the donors in our Charity
Auctions Honour Gallery.
And four entries in the
2006 Challenge by Natalya Melnik (2), Ng
Kai Teck and Joseph Tomaszewski will
provide the first series of charity
auctions for the 2007 Challenge.
Other Welcome
Contributions
The editors of
Battlegames, Miniature Wargames and
Wargames Illustrated all donated a
significant proportion of their fees for
our Challenge adverts in their magazines to
our worthy causes. And Bill Armintrout of
TMP designed and displayed a free banner
for the Challenge on his site.
Bob Naismith most
generously donated his fee for sculpting
our competition winners’
commemorative mini Anonymous Bodge to our
fund for Comic Relief.
Cindy Dukino, Simon
Coverdale and Ng Kai Teck most generously
made donations in addition to their auction
proceeds to our fund for Children in Need.
And figure painter Chris Yaro has kindly
donated part of his fees for several recent
commissions to our fund for Comic Relief.
Charles Ellis and
Darren Matthews both generously donated a
significant part of their prize winnings to
the Challenge’s fund for Comic
Relief.
A very generous group
of individuals from CMON sent in much
appreciated personal donations which we
added 20% to as offered upfront but Alex
Keulich (ddd on CMON) sent in such a large
donation of his own that we felt inspired
to match it dollar for dollar. That
man’s a superstar!
Crunch Waffle, Dark Age
Games, Hasslefree and Olley’s Armies
all offered much appreciated support.
And the Newbold family
and their friends raised a very tidy sum by
the good old fashioned expedient of mugging
people on their own doorsteps!
