1. The Grak are a generally cold blooded
species with a natural lifespan of around
50 years. But both the Grak-su and the
Grak-mi have at least one dollop of fiery
dragonoid blood in their veins.
2. In very
general terms the different sub-species of
Grak have a mixture of dragonoid, fishtoid
and reptiliad facial characteristics. They
have tough hide-like skins which in some
cases has a tendency to scaliness. They
have a very wide range of skin colours even
within each sub-species.
3. Body builds
and proportions vary considerably between
sub-species but they tend not to vary much
within any given sub-species. The Grak-lo
are a little different to the other
sub-species in that they have very tough
webbed feet and do not wear footwear of any
kind.
4. They are a
very hardy species that do well in all
conditions although they have a definite
preference for hot climes. They are not
prone to disease or visable signs of aging
prior to death. They eat and drink anything
including the flesh and blood of other
species.
5. Collectively
they are reasonably numerous although one
or two of the sub-species aren’t
particularly so. They breed only once
between the ages of 10 and 12 producing
litters of three or four when they do so.
They are physically fully grown and fully
mature by the age of 10. Most of the
sub-species produce a few low level magic
users in each generation but only the
Grak-su produce extremely talented and
powerful ones and the Grak-mi do not
produce any at all.
