Newbold World is the online home of a
small family venture designed to share some
of the things that we enjoy doing with
anyone who might be interested. In essence
it is all about our passion for artwork,
games, miniature figures and stories and
our desire to support a couple of very
worthwhile causes. We add new items several
times each month as you’ll see from
our Latest News Page. There are four main
areas :-
The Newbold Challenge is our fun charity
event where we sponsor a wide range of both
amateur and professional artists, figure
painters and figure sculptors to share
their creative talents with us in support
of two of the UK’s most famous
registered charities Children in Need and
Comic Relief. We’ve set some tough
targets that will probably be well beyond
us but we’ll have a lot of fun
busting a gut as we try to achieve them and
we hope that a few of you will join in too!
Skoog is our attempt to create a
fantasy & sci-fi setting of our very
own. We are sponsoring a small number of
talented individuals to help us create
artwork, games, miniature figurines and
stories based on that setting. As they
become available these items will go on
sale in our Olde Worlde Charity Shoppe and
any income they generate will be donated to
Children in Need or Comic Relief as part of
the Newbold Challenge.
Quirky Corner is where we show you fun
stuff that has very little to do with The
Newbold Challenge or Skoog!
The Newbold Galleries give us the chance to show
you the type of artwork and miniature
figures that we particularly enjoy looking
at even though some of them were not
created as part of the Newbold Challenge or
the development of Skoog.
